Itinerary information
Day 01: Phnom Penh Arrival & City Tour
Meal: No Meal
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. After a short rest, begin your Phnom Penh city tour with a visit to the impressive Royal Palace, a colourful Khmer-style royal complex built in 1866, followed by the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha Temple, featuring beautifully decorated Buddha statues adorned with gold, silver, diamonds, and precious gemstones. Continue to the Independence Monument and explore the National Museum, a beautiful Khmer-style building housing an extensive collection of Cambodian art and historical artefacts. Drive along the picturesque riverfront where the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers meet before visiting Wat Phnom, a sacred hill and historic pagoda associated with the city’s name. End the day at Central Market, an iconic dome-shaped market built in 1937, where you can explore a wide variety of local goods and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Phnom Penh. Day 02: Phnom Penh Historical & River Tour
Meal: Breakfast
After breakfast, visit the Choeung Ek Genocidal Center, a significant historical site that provides insight into one of the most difficult periods in Cambodia’s history. Continue to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, formerly known as S-21, which preserves important historical records and exhibits related to the Khmer Rouge era. After the visit, enjoy some free time for lunch at your own expense before heading to the Russian Market, a lively local market where you can explore shops, handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, and everyday Cambodian products. In the evening, relax on a scenic Mekong and Tonle Sap River sunset cruise, enjoying views of Phnom Penh from the water at the famous “Four Arms” area, where the rivers meet. Overnight at the hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 03: Phnom Penh Departure
Meal: Breakfast
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport for your onward flight back home or to your next destination. Your memorable Phnom Penh journey comes to an end with wonderful memories of Cambodia’s royal heritage, cultural landmarks, local markets, and riverside scenery.
